Dawson’s Creek fans rejoice!  It’s been eight long years since the devastating series finale of the beloved WB show, and although most of us have given up hope that there will be a reunion, former DC star, Katie Holmes (who played the desirable “girl next door,” Joey Potter) has gone on the record to state how she actually wants to reunite with her former cast mates.

In a recent interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, Mrs. Tom Cruise expressed her unbridled enthusiasm for a reunion of the hit young adult drama.

“It would be fun to reunite. I had so much fun working on that show and I loved everyone so much and I think about it with such fond memories.” said Holmes.

Katie Holmes also isn’t the only celeb aching for a return to the creek as A-lister Michelle Williams, who played Jen Lindley has been rooting for a reunion to take place as well.

Obviously, the reunion show would be a television special where former cast mates relive the memories and episodes rather than a continuation of the show because as we all know, Jen met a tragic and unexpected end and making her into a ghost would just be in poor taste.

Now, all we need is for James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson to go on the record wanting a reunion and then Dawson’s Creek fans are set!
