Sources close to the famous Kennedy family member have been open about the fact that Shriver has had reservations in divorcing Schwarzenegger because of her deeply religious beliefs, but now they two have taken a big step away from divorce: They’ve started couples counseling.

We guess that them being spotted furniture shopping in California is just the start of seeing them together!

According to a source, the counseling isn’t for the kids, but for the couple.

“Arnold and Maria are having marriage counseling to work through their issues to get back together,” said the source. “He is promising the moon and telling Maria he has completely changed his ways. Arnold is desperate to win her back, mostly because he realizes he can’t live without her, and partly because he doesn’t have the political clout without her. Winning her back would be the best way to show the world he has been forgiven for his transgressions.”

Sounds like he’s got a lot of work ahead of him!
