Originally we weren’t believers that the world was going to end in December, but after this news, we’re not so sure: E L James, author of the unfortunately popular Fifty Shades Of Grey series, has announced that she’s debuting a sex toy line based on the books.

Seriously.

According to the author: “This range is what I always imagined while I was writing Fifty Shades of Grey, I’m so excited that the toys I described in the books have come to life and can now be enjoyed around the world.”

The line– which includes the silver pleasure balls, crops and handcuffs that were described in the series– are said to be hitting stores and websites next month, just in time to snatch them up for Christmas.

The items, which range from about $20USD-$65, can be purchased as individual items or in (ugh) Grey’s Sex Kits.

With years of near crotch shots and near wardrobe malfunctions, our male readers will be thrilled to learn that Eva Longoria has finally shown the world some goodies, as the former Desperate Housewives star bared her ass for a new photo art book called Asleep at the Chateau from photographer Jork Weismann.

Longoria took part in the book which features many A-list celebs and models sleeping at the legendary hotel Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

‘Asleep at the Chateau’ will be released in October but people can buy it on pre-order.

Who doesn’t love The Devil Wears Prada? No one! We’re talking about both the movie with Meryl Streep and the book on which it was based, by Lauren Weisberger.

News has just come out that Weisberger is developing a sequel to the book which is coming out next year – ten years after the original! The book will be called Revenge Wears Prada (great title, btw!) and brings back the old gang. Any chance we can get this as another movie?! Please say Yes!

One of the most beloved children’s authors has passed away. According to the New York Times, the Where The Wild Things Are author died this morning from complications of a recent stroke.

Sendak wrote and illustrated the now treasured Wild things in 1963, and the book has been amongst the best seller list for children’s books nearly every year since, even coming as the #1 best selling children’s book in 2009 when the tale was adapted to the full-length movie of the same name.

Sendak had lived with his partner Eugene Glynn for 50 years before Glenn’s passing of lung cancer in 2007. The author attributes Glynn as his inspiration, saying he often wrote books for his partner and not for children.

“I don’t write for children. I like them as few and far between as I do adults.”

We never thought we’d see the day that we’re sad Sex And The City came back to television… But CW has a way of turning everything they touch into shit!

The network known for tainting the good 90210 name has gotten the rights to produce a pilot based on the book The Carrie Diaries, based on the lives of author Candace Bushnell’s Sex And The City characters back in the 80′s.

The good news is this means teenage Carrie & Co! The bad news means this is probably going to be another poorly written fail by the station (I mean, really? You’re still going with One Tree Hill?).
