For most people, having the chicken pox means not being able to hang out with your friends at recess because you’re staying at home sick, but for Barbara Walters the diagnoses of the infection could be much, much worse.

The 83-year-old talk show host missed the most recent taping of The View because of the illness, which Whoopi Goldberg announced to the audience.

“We want to give you an update on Barbara… [She was] running a temperature, but it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood. Barbara has the chicken pox,” said Whoopi. “She’d never had it as a child. So now she’s been told to rest, she’s not allowed any visitors.” Read more…

The man who has become known as Uncle Poodle from the hit reality show Honey Boo Boo is now opening up about the fact that he was diagnosed with HIV in 2012.

During an interview, Lee Thompson (AKA Uncle Poodle) talked about learning about being HIV positive, and what it’s meant to his life since.

“I was adamant about getting my HIV status checked on a regular basis. On March 16, 2012, I tested negative. Then, in May of 2012 my test results came back positive,” he said. “I knew it had been my boyfriend who infected me. I later learned he had been HIV positive and was not taking medication and had not bothered to tell me about it. I was advised that I should press charges and, hesitantly, I did. It was the right thing to do.”

The disturbing news serves as a warning for any sexually active person, but at the very least Thompson is seeing some justice.

“[My ex] is serving a 5-year sentence. I would have been cool with his HIV status if he had been honest. I don’t have an issue with the disease. I would have known how to protect myself.”

Despite the fact that the show is greatly hated by anyone with a brain, we’re sure the hearts and sympathy of anyone hearing about the news will go out to Thompson.

Sounds like someone had a little too Purple Drank! After suffering from seizure-like symptoms on his private jet, rapper Lil Wayne was the cause of an emergency landing in Texas, this according to multiple reports.

The plane, which was headed to LAX from an unknown location, was brought to the closest terminal after the rappers medical emergency. Sources say that as soon as the plane landed, Wayne was transported to the local hospital, but was released several hours later.

His reps have yet to address rumors as to what caused the seizures, but friends of the rapper say he’s currently ”doing better.”

Kony 2012 was one of the most instantly popular viral videos in the history of the internet, bringing tens of millions of views in within only hours of being posted on YouTube. If you’re unfamiliar with the video, it shows Jason Russell, the creator of Kony 2012, talking to his son about a wanted war and sex criminal, Joseph Kony, and calls for viewers of the video to help take action in capturing Kony.

The video and the efforts were all fine and dandy, but then Jason Russell LOST HIS DAMN MIND and ended up having a very public, very naked meltdown in the middle of a California street which took away a ton of his credibility as both a charity leader and filmmaker.

Ever since his breakdown (oh, did we mention that this entire thing was caught on video and posted on the Internet? Yeah, that didn’t help his case much…) Russell has been in hiding, but for the first time since the incident he’s doing an interview– And he’s talking about everything.

In a segment for Oprah’s next chapter, Jason and his wife sit down with the superstar interviewer to talk about what happened the day he lost his shit, and why he hasn’t pursued the Kony project since.

If Lindsay and Michael aren’t enough of a hot mess for you, then we have Dina Lohan around to swoop in to put the cherry on top of the ‘you’re family is fucking crazy’ sundae!

Dina Lohan recently sat down with Dr. Phil for an interview that will air on Monday, but if the preview shows one thing, it’s that she’s out of her damn mind.

D-Lo went on the show to discuss everything from her personal life to Lindsay’s continuous downward spiral, but when confronted about the serious issues surrounding her family, she instead decided to mock the doc.

“Look at you, you’re in your little tie and little shoes!” Dina said to Phil while slurring almost each word, to which Dr. Phil has a PRICELESS look on his face. Seriously, you have to check out the video for the reaction alone.

But Dina didn’t stop there– She blamed 5 of LiLo’s legal issues on the fact that she wasn’t living in New York at the time, and actually asks to go home in the middle of the interview because she became so wrestles.

When Dr. Phil interviewed Michael Lohan VIA satellite about Dina’s strange behavior, he simply responded with, “Was she drinking before she did your interview?”  Umm… We’re going to go with a big YES there.

Jessica Simpson showed up to Katie Couric’s new talk show looking pretty good considering how much she ballooned up so much while pregnant just four months ago, but apparently a 10-pound-a-month loss just isn’t enough for some people.

After images of Simpson looking like a bombshell surfaced online, the Internet trolls went on a rampage tearing the former Newlyweds star apart for her apparently large figure. Does no one remember what she looked like 4 months ago?! If we dropped that much weight in less than half a year, we’d be pretty stoked about it.

Regardless of the assholes on the Internet, Simpson is proud of the progress, saying that, “It’s bout about the numbers, but [the way I feel].”

What a difference it is between shaving your head to look like a hipster and shaving your head for an actual reason, because not only is Kellie Pickler getting great reviews on her new look, she’s being praised for her reasoning behind it.

After her best friend, Summer Miller, was diagnosed with breast cancer, Pickler decided to join her in shaving her head just days prior to starting chemotherapy treatment to bring awareness to the importance of self checks and early detection.

“Cancer does not discriminate,” said Pickler in an interview about her new ‘do. “If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it.”

Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell is recovering at her home after a serious heart attack last week, she has revealed.

The 50-year-old comedian suffered the attack shortly after helping an ‘enormous woman’ out of a vehicle, saying that she quickly Googled her symptoms and took the recommended Bayer Aspirin, which she believes saved her life.

“Thank god/saved by a tv commercial/literally… They call this type of heart attack/the Widow Maker/i am lucky to be here… by some miracle i was not one of them. maybe this is a heart attack… i googled womens heart attack symptoms/i had many of them/but really? – i thought – naaaa [sic],” O’Donnell Tweeted since the incident.

Doctors said that her coronary artery was 99% blocked, making it extremely surprising that she survived the incident.

Here’s to a speedy recovery! If she’s lucky, maybe Tom Cruise will send her some get well flowers.

Remember that time Eva Longoria’s ex-husband Tony Parker got injured during the Chris Brown/ Wheelchair Jimmy Drake bar brawl? Yeah, we didn’t either, but apparently that happened. And apparently it means he has to follow fashion advice from Skrillex.

Tony Parker reported that he was hit in the eye with a broken glass bottle during the Brown/Drake fight and is seeing major side effects. According to sources, Parker had to undergo surgery on his left eye after a shard of glass penetrated 99% of his eyeball in the scuffle. And while we’re on the subject, OMG THAT’S DISGUSTING.

Parker showed up for the first time since the June 14th incident at WiP nightclub to warm up for the France’s Olympic team sporting his new, super-cool protective eye gear and a Kinder Surprise jersey that would make the hipsters jealous. Remember a few months back when Miley was spotted with suicidal cuts on her wrists? Well it looks as though her troubled times are back, because Miles was spotted leaving her pilates studio yesterday with fresh cuts.

When pictures first surfaced of Miley allegedly self-harming, friends close to the star said she was depressed and in fear that now-fiance Liam Hemsworth was going to break up with her, but things have been looking up for the former Hannah Montana star since he put a ring on it.

So what’s going on with Miley? Is the wedding pressure getting to her, or is there something more serious going on?
