We knew this day would come!

Trying to avoid eye contact, recently divorced former couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand stole glances at one another as they sat on opposite sides of the court at the Lakers game at Staples Center in L.A. yesterday.

Even from the photos above, it’s hard not to notice the tension and although it’s discerning to see, it is also relieving to know that celebrities feel uncomfortable too when bumping into their exes!

Oh, and for those who care, The Lakers lost to the MAVERICKS and since we’re huge MAVERICKS fans at Gossip Overload, we felt like bragging about it!

Katy Perry is back to black hair for the latest campaign for ghd, and girlfriend looks flawless.

ghd, a hair product company, has been producing some pretty wild ads staring the singer since she signed on to be their latest spokes person, but the latest batch of promo shots show a more natural side of Perry; something she’s been trying to do since the release of her 3D concert movie.

The shoot, which was done by photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, was done at the very end of Perry’s world tour. We’re still not sure how she can finish a tour and look this good while we finish a six-day nap and look like Roseanne, but that’s besides the point.

We love Katy’s new darker ‘do, but we have to ask: Do you prefer her purple or her black??

It looks like Katy Perry might be rebounding from her marriage to Russel Brand in a BIG way– Girlfriend was spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont with John Mayer last night! Ok, ok, so that doesn’t exactly mean they’re dating, but let’s be serious, with Mayer’s track record, we think it’s safe to assume that they’re getting it on!

Earlier this week Us Weekly reported that the two have started dating, but this is the first time they’ve stepped out in public together.

We have to ask… What happened to the Florence + The Machine guitarist she was dating?!

Just because she’s got blue hair, doesn’t mean Katy Perry is still feeling down in the dumps about the one who got away – a certain Brand-name. Pretty Perry has been spotted romantically entangled with Baptiste Giabiconi, a douchy looking Frenchman who is reportedly the highest paid model in the world. I guess that’s cool.

The two met during Paris Fashion Week at the Chanel show and were seen together leaving Le Montana nightclub. Looks like the city of love and lights is shining down on the recent divorcée.

Frenchman Baptiste’s resume currently includes creds for being the male face of Chanel, Fendi, and Karl Lagerfeld. But he is also an aspiring singer! In an interview with The London Standard, he describes his new passion.

It looks like Russell Brand is at the end of his rope with the pap, because last night he went ape shit on one!

A ‘candid photographer’ named Timothy Jackson filed a report today claiming that Brand grabbed his phone last night and threw it through the window of an abandoned building in New Orleans.

The pap filed papers citing criminal damages over the broken iPhone and told police that Brand ‘flipped out’ and ‘wrestled the phone out of his hand’ before throwing it through the window.

Damn, son! Looks like someone was having a pretty shitty day. We say good on him! Those nosey paps should have minded their own business.

Well this is unexpected.

Sources connected to E.T. singers Katy Perry and Kanye West are claiming that the two have been hooking up during Paris Fashion Week!

MediaTakeOut talked to friends of the duo to find out what’s happening between the singers.

“Katy hung around the fashion show until everyone left,” said the source. “Then she hopped into Kanye’s Mercedes and went to the after party. They were near each other all night, not all over each other, just close like they were trying to hide it… And after about an hour, they both inconspicuously left together.”

We’re going to go ahead and take this ‘source’ with an iceberg of salt, considering it sounds like they’re describing this ‘new found relationship’ the same way you’d describe two friends simply hanging out, but we guess it would be kind of hot if they were shacking up!

The sources go on to say that they were introduced by Katy’s BFF and Kanye’s former protégée Rihanna.
