The poster for Parker, a movie none of us have known about has just been released and is clearly marketed towards fans of Jason Staham and Jennifer Lopez since that is all the poster cares to highlight.

For those who actually care about what this movie could be about, here is a synopsis:

Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez team up to get their cut in the crime thriller, PARKER, based on the series of bestselling novels by Donald E. Westlake. Parker (Jason Statham) is a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to PalmBeach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.

Although the plot sounds mildly interesting, we can’t help but think how underwhelming and embarrassing this poster looks.

Chloe Grace Moretz as Carrie

We heard a few months ago that 15-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz was cast as Carrie in the remake of the iconic horror movie, and we’re finally getting the first look at her take on the character.

The new Kimberly Peirce adaptation of Stephen King’s original book isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until March 15 of next year, but Entertainment Weekly already has a peek into the film.

Moretz, as always, looks like she was made for the role, but the surprise of the photo set is Juilanne Moore as her mother, Margaret White. She looks intensely creepy!

Check out the first look at Moore after the cut. Read more…

The Avengers 2 release date the avengers 2 promo pictures

Despite the fact that the first Avengers hasn’t even been released on DVD yet, Marvel Studios are already looking towards the star packed sequel, and what’s probably the most anticipated superhero movie ever already has a theatrical release date: The Avengers sequel, which has yet to be titled, is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.

Joss Whedon has already been confirmed to both write and direct the mega-movie, has delayed the film until 2015 to give the Disney studio time to complete the individual stand-alone films staring the pack before diving into the sequel.

“Marvel has a very set agenda of what they want to do, they are already kind of ahead of the game [on the sequel] because they’ve got the guy that did it before doing it again and something tells me Joss already has the template [for the film],” a source spilled, this according to MTV. “In terms of the time frame, I think that it is well in the works. … It looks like the release date might be May 1, 2015, but that can change depending on people’s schedules. The beauty of ‘The Avengers’ is that you’ve got so many people in this that even during the shoot if someone has to do another film they can just focus on [other characters].”

Robert Downey Jr. and a Hemsworth back together again? UNF. We can’t wait.

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Pt II Date Changed

Damn K-Stew, this isn’t going to be much fun for you! Summit Entertainment’s president of marketing insists that despite personal woes between some of the cast members, the scheduled opening night and promo tours surrounding The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt II aren’t going to be effected.

“While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike,” said Nancy Kirkpatrick.

Looks like Robert is going to spend some much unwanted time together with Kristen whether he likes it or not!

But we here at Gossip Overload are much less concerned with the movie than we are of award season. Kristen and Rob have built up the anticipation for a GIANT SMOOCH for nearly four years in a row while teasing the audience as they accept their MTV Best Kiss awards. Are you trying to tell us that they strung us along for that long and we’re never going to see them smash faces?! This is bull!

hangover-3-poster

It’s official: The Hangover wolfpack will most likely be drugged by Zach Galifianakis again come May 24, 2013!

Although The Hangover: Part 3 is only in pre-production, the marketing team has already released this pic that looks like it was created on an old version of MS Publisher to get fans really excited!

We don’t know too much about the plot, aside from the fact that Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and that guy we always forget about  Justin Bartha will be saving Ed Helms from a mental institution.

Here’s hoping this one won’t be as lame as the last one!

Ruby Sparks, the Jonathan Dayton/Valerie Faris directed film about an aspiring novelist has been highly talked about for quite some time, and the official trailer has finally dropped!

The movie follows Calvin (Paul Dano), a novelist who creates a character named Ruby Sparks (Zoe Kazan) for an upcoming book, only to realize that she’s somehow materialized as a living, breathing person.

Although the movie does look pretty good, it plot is a little too familiar to us… Stranger Than Fiction, anyone?

Gangster-Squad-pic

With the horrific shooting that took place last week during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, one of the results is that the trailer (which we’d shared with you before) for the upcoming gangster period piece Gangster Squad was pulled due to a scene that features a shooting in a cinema.

The studio was previously unsure whether they would re-edit the scene or move the film, but it turns out the scene is quite pivotal to the film and now they’ve decided to push the release until next year. The studio is now unsure of its release date and is deciding if it will cut the scene and add new material, which would involve costly re-writes and reshoots, or see if it feels more appropriate to release the film as-is next year. The release we’re hearing rumblings of is now January 11th, instead of the original date of September 7th.

While this is obviously a very complicated issue, we want to know your thoughts. Keep the movie as it is or change it to try and avoid being insensitive? Let us know in the comments!
