One Direction is the band behind the official Comic Relief charity single this year with their cover of Blondie’s classic (and oft-covered!) track One Way Or Another – and now we have the official cover art for the single! Member Niall Horan said: ”We are really excited to be part of Red Nose Day this year. We recorded Blondie’s One Way or Another and we really want the song to raise lots of money and for people to show their support by going out and buying themselves a copy.”

The song itself will be realeased officially on February 17th and we can’t wait to hear it!

We know, we know: We blog about Rihanna (and, as a result, Chris Brown) a lot, but we are surely not alone with our fascination with the young beauty so we are bringing you another gripping update! Following up on her chart-topping single Diamonds, Rihanna is releasing a stunning ballad entitled Stay. The track was performed on Saturday Night Live and is already enjoying some chart success.

The picture may be surprising to casual fans of Rihanna as it is a grainy picture of the singer embracing Chris Brown. Regardless of your thoughts on the two of them, you’ve got to admit that it does make for a rather striking image.

How to go from extremely excited to kind of irritated in a moment’s notice: Finding out that Destiny’s Child is going to be releasing a new album – this month, nonetheless! – to finding out it’s going to be a compilation called Love Songs that features just one new track. Now we can’t complain too much, since a new Destiny’s Child song (the first in eight years!) is better than no new Destiny’s Child tracks, but we still wish they would have gone ahead and banged out another nine or so tracks and made it a whole album! The new track, Nuclear, better be pretty great!

Now this is leading to intense speculation that the girls are all going to be appearing with Beyonce at her Super Bowl appearance as well. THAT we are definitely excited for!

J-Tims just tied the knot and Brit’s about to walk down the isle– What makes you think there’s a chance of them getting back together? You need to get over your Mickey Mouse Club dreams, child!

But now that we have your attention, there are some important issues to discuss.

We’ve learned that Britney has officially QUIT her gig as judge of the X-Factor. TMZ has reported that she’s stepped down from her responsibilities  to concentrate on completing her new album and plan a tour. It’s not shocking that she’s leaving her judge duties as it was widely rumored that she was only planning on staying for a year in the first place. What IS shocking is that she’s walking away from a $15 million contract! What are the chances she’ll make even close to that amount with a new record?

In related news, Britney isn’t the only half of your former favorite couple to announce plans of new music: According to a Florida radio station, a new single is set to drop on Monday featuring Timberlake, Timbaland and Jay-Z. Following their announcement, Justin turned to Twitter to Tweet “Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST…,” which we can only assume is when the new single hits.

Take Taylor Swift, put her in the both at a diner with her latest love interest, and what do you get? Her ‘Begin Again’ video. And her video for ‘Trouble’. And apparently all of her videos.

Taylor dropped her 23rd video last night for her latest single ‘Trouble,’ and it looks pretty familiar. Sitting at a diner, at a party, singing while crying… For a girl who considers herself to be extremely creative, her attempts at being creative sure are a let-down.

If you weren’t jealous of Taylor  Swift’s life after countless Grammy wins, magazine covers and endless stream of famous boyfriends, maybe this will do the trick: Taylor Swift’s new album Red has gone TRIPLE PLATINUM in only one month. This marks the fastest rise to a triple platinum album for the singer since her debut album.

So what’s that mean in numbers, exactly? Well, a lot: She’s now officially sold over 15 million records in the United States alone.

In addition to Swifts success, the RIAA (AKA the people who tally up album sales and award record-success titles) also awarded Carly  Rae Jepsen a 6x Multi-Platinum title for her hit “Call Me Maybe,” Gold, Platinum AND Double Platinum titles for PSY’s hit “Gangnam Style,” and Platinum status for both Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” and The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey.”

Yes, we know it’s a very easy reference to mention ‘It’s Britney, Bitch’ when talking about Britney Spears, but in this case it is actually relevant! Britney is not someone who appears on a lot of other artists’ songs but she’s made an exception for Will.I.Am, appearing on his new single Scream & Shout, which will be the lead track from his upcoming album #willpower (yes, that’s the real name, unfortunately…) which is due to be released in the first half of December. Let us tell you, we LOVE it! Featuring a sample from Britney’s own Gimme More, it’s going to be massive in the clubs and we can’t wait to shake it to it! In fact, we’ve been doing it in the Gossip offices all day!

‘Love Of The Light,’ the English band’s newest single, was directed by the popular actor, but details of the shoot were kept under wraps until they debuted the video on the band’s official YouTube page.

It’s been many years since Ashlee Simpson has released any new music, and after the disappointing sales of her third album, Bittersweet World, it’s fair enough that she wanted to take some time off and regroup. After all, she was also busy getting a divorce and having a child, so she had other things going on… Will she channel that into her new music? We’ll find out for sure on November 21st, as Simpson has just announced her new single and video will be coming out that day!

The 24-year-old singer is getting ready for the November 16th release of her latest piece of shit musical masterpiece, but fans can already pre-order her INSANELY OVERPRICED ‘special deluxe version’ as of today.

The limited edition version of the album will feature an ‘art piece for a true collector’ (whatever the hell that means), a handwritten personal note from Riri, a white and silver view-master with a ‘vintage reel of 3-D images’ of her style, a t-shirt, a flash drive with a photo of Rihanna on it, seven lap top stickers, a poster, a book of notes and lyrics, a 20-minute DVD, and a copy of the new record on vinyl that includes remixes of the first hit from Unapologetic, Diamonds. So basically a ton of shit that you can download for free and fin on eBay in 5 months for $18.

Before you run out and order the package, which begins shipping on December 11, we feel that we should probably suggest you spend your money no LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE.
