Olivia Wilde engagement ring

Well it looks like all of our fears have finally come true because Olivia Wilde does, in fact, have an engagement ring from Jason Sudeikis. And if Wikipedia is to be believed, a marriage usually follows an engagement, so we’re totally bummed out by this.

While in Rome this weekend, Wilde showed off her MASSIVE rock during a tour of the Palazzo Farnese with the cast of The Third Person, a film she’s currently filming in the beautiful city.

The actress previously Tweeted her thanks for the congratulations on her engagement: “Thanks for all the sweet congratulatory love, friends. And may I compliment your savvy use of that nifty engagement ring emoticon.”

Happy-Endings-Dont-Trust-the-Bitch-in-Apartment-23-cancelled

Two of our favorite shows (Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23 and Happy Endings) look like they’ll be seeing their final episodes this season, as viewership for the two comedies are at an all time low.

Both shows were moved to ABC’s Sunday night time slots in a last ditch effort to gain more viewers, but that seemed to do little to nothing in terms of getting more people to watch the shows.

The time slot premier of Happy Endings only had a rating of 1.0 in adults 18-49, the shows target audience, which was an all time low for the series, and down 23% from their 1.3 rating on the last new show, which premiered on December 18.

But not to be upstaged, Don’t Trust The B matched the all-time-low-status that Happy Endings has gained, bringing in only a 0.2 in adults 18-49, which was down 18% from their 1.1 on the 18th.

So what’s this mean for the future of the shows? Well ABC hasn’t announced their plans for canceling or renewing the programs, we’re assuming that at very least they’ll be stuck in the same renewal limbo like they were last season.

Do you watch DTTBIATT and Friends 2.0? What do you think of the possible axe situation?

jeremy renner jon hamm saturday night live

There’s more excitement than usual surrounding Saturday Night Live this weekend. We’re not sure if it’s because one of the hottest Avengers in history, Jeremy Renner, is set to host, or because there have been all sorts of rumors flying around about guest appearances on the live late night show.

According to insiders, not only have co-judges of musical guest Adam Levine’s show The Voice, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green, been hanging around the set, but Jon Hamm has been spotted by several people entering the iconic 30 Rock building, and rumors are starting to fly that he’s going to make a guest appearance on the show this weekend.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, we think it’s safe to say that some big names will be showing up in the skits!

Do you think anyone is going to be popping up in the skits?

Frank-Ocean-John-Mayer-SNL

We were excited enough when we announced that Frank Ocean is going to be the first musical guest on the premier of Saturday Night Live,  but Ocean turned to his Twitter to let his fans know he’s bringing along a special guest– And we’re a little obsessed with him.

In a slightly cryptic message, Ocean Tweeted, “SNL this weekend. Me and the bro John Mayer.”

Despite the fact that Mayer has all but fucked his voice for good, he appeared on Ocean’s ChannelOrange track White, so fans of the pair are naturally assuming they’ll be performing the song.

NBC has yet to confirm the rumor, but our sources say that Mayer has been hanging around the 30 Rock studios in preparation for their performance.

Is that… Wait… Oh, yep. It is. That’s a boner we have.

Seth-MacFarlane

We admit that we are big fans of Saturday Night Live around here and we’re totally excited to see how this upcoming season goes without some of the usual cast members, who we told you won’t be returning. We’ve also previously told you that Frank Ocean will be the musical guest on the first episode.

Now we can tell you the full lineup for the first three episodes of the 38th season! The premiere on September 15th will see Frank Ocean joined by Seth MacFarlane, riding high on the success of Ted, as host. The following week will have Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosting with Mumford & Sons as the musical guest. October 6th will have Daniel Craig and Muse as guests!

What do you think of these? Will you be tuning in to any of them in particular? Let us know in the comments!

frank ocean saturday night live

Raps newest obsession, Frank Ocean, has been confirmed as the first musical guest for the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live.

The episode which will air on September 15 doesn’t yet have a host, but rumor has it the host is going to be one of their biggest yet. What an exciting tease!

Looks like this TV season is going to start off BIG for Ocean! Not only did he snag the coveted SNL slot, but he’s also confirmed to perform on the September 6 broadcast of the MTV VMA’s.

Let’s hope Kanye doesn’t steal his moon man.

Abby-Elliott-on-SNL

Well, we didn’t see this one coming. While we’ve kept you up to date on all the casting changes coming up for the next season of Saturday Night Live, we had no inkling of this one happening!

In addition to the previously-announced departures of Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg, it’s now believed that Abby Elliott will also be leaving the landmark comedy show. This comes as a surprise as she’s only been a regular cast member since the fall of 2010 after two years as a featured player. She has become a favorite for her impressions of people like Zooey Deschanel and Angelina Jolie.

What do you think of this, Gossip fans? Are you concerned about what will become of SNL next season if all these people leave or do you think it’s a good opportunity to shake things up? Let us know in the comments!

Celeste And Jesse Forever Movie Release Date

There’s nothing worse than hearing a movie is coming out with some of the funniest comedic actors around only to watch the trailer and WANT TO COMMIT SUICIDE WHEN IT’S DONE.

The trailer for the new dark comedy Celeste And Jesse Forever was released online the other day and it looks about 4% sad and 96% like the saddest movie ever.

The film, which was written by and stars Parks and Recreation’s Rashida Jones, follows the lives of two best friends, Celeste and Jesse, who started as BFFs, got married, got separated, stayed BFFs, then started the inevitable downfall to heartbreak as Celeste has to deal with the fact that Jesse falls in love with someone else.

The trailer for the movie, also staring Andy Samberg, Lord Of The Ring’s Elijah Wood and Emma Roberts, is nearly too sad to watch, so chances are we’re just going to go ahead and skip this one. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think! Read more…

Seth-Meyers-and-Kelly-Ripa

Consider us fully on board for this!

Since Regis Philbin has left his looooongtime seat as a co-host of Live!, Kelly Ripa has been holding down the fort herself, with guest hosts like Anderson Cooper popping by to add support. Well, with it being almost a year since Phibin left, Ripa and crew have finally narrowed down the search for a replacement and we’re hearing that the frontrunner is… Seth Meyers!

The other two in the final three are allegedly Josh Groban and Michael Strahan, but we definitely want to see Meyers take the job!

But what would happen to his SNL gig?! Apparently he would be staying on Saturday Night Live to host Weekend Update but would no longer be as involved in the rest of the program as usual… This makes sense to us! It sounds like a really good opportunity for mutually beneficial promotion for both programs. What do you think, Gossip fans? Want to see Meyers host or is there someone else you would rather see? Let us know in the comments!

Amy Poehler Foo Fighters

This Saturday marked the last time we’ll see Kristen Wiig on the Saturday Night Live stage as a cast member of the long-running sketch comedy show, but it wasn’t the episode that has people talking days after it happened– It was the after party.

After Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiigs final curtain call early Sunday morning, the cast, crew, and friends of the show headed out to 30 Rock’s outdoor plaza to have what seemed to be the best party you’ve never been to (but don’t get too sad– we weren’t there, either).

After the tearful goodbye to two fan favorites, the official after party kicked off outside the NBC studios, and it was beyond amazing. Not only were former SNL favorites Amy Poehler, Chris Kattan and Rachel Dratch on hand to give Wiig and Samberg their final goodbye, some of rock’s finest took the stage to send them off.

Jeff Beck, Arcade Fire, The Foo Fighters and Mick Jagger himself all stayed around to play a live set during the after party, which insiders say went from laughter-filled to bawling-your-eyes-out sad throughout the night.

Check out more pictures from the after party below! Read more…
