Demi Lovato is one busy gal. She’s doing a summer tour, filming for The X Factor (if you recall, she was named, alongside Britney Spears, to replace judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger for the upcoming season of the hit reality show) and now she has another high-profile gig!

Lovato was just named as the host of the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, airing July 22nd. She’ll be joined by the likes of Cat Deely, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and (!!!!) No Doubt!

Looking good! The first official pic of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato holding court as judges for the upcoming season of The X Factor has just come out and we’re loving the looks of it.

Demi seems perfectly at home as a judge and it’s cute the way Britney is snuggling up to Simon like that. Britney and Demi have been tweeting up a storm talking about how happy they are to be judges and Britney even took time to dispel rumors that she walked off set, saying: ”#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!”

Demi Lovato has slowly been talking more and more about her ‘dark’ phase nearly two years ago, and it seems like every day we learn it was worse than she had originally led on to believe.

At first her reps had said she was taking some time off after a physical altercation with a back-up dancer, then we learned she was bulimic, then she admitted to self-harming, then she announces she was bipolar, and now we’re getting an insight to just how out of control her drug problem got at the time.

Although the singer admitted to self-medicating with prescription pills and cocaine, it sounds like she was doing a lot more than that. The singer has opened up about how club promoters would give her all kinds of drugs in an attempt to get her to come back, and according to the singer, it worked.

”Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my ass. I thought they were my friends. Read more…

Demi Lovato has made a full switch from soul singer to dance dame with her music, and by the sounds of this new leaked track, she’s continuing in the dance direction.

Her newest track to hit the web, Aftershock, almost reminds us of something that 2010 Britney would have recorded. It takes a little getting used to, but we like it!

When we heard that Punk’d was returning to MTV for the first time in 5 years, we were a little skeptical– Which stars would fall for these pranks after knowing something like Punk’d exists? As it turns out, a lot of them!

In the first full-length preview of the new season, we get a glimpse at stars like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, one of the Kardashian’s that’s not Kim, Tyler The Creator and Zac Efron getting the practical jokes of a lifetime played on them– And lucky for you, it’ll all be on TV!

Although Ashton has passed the crown, he didn’t give it to one star, he gave it to all of them: The new show will have a different punk-er for every individual prank.

In the past month and a half, Demi Lovato’s team has checked the Disney star in and out of rehab twice in a shady attempt to get her help and an obvious attempt to keep it out of the media, but new rumors have surfaced claiming that Lovato missed Sunday’s Grammy show because she’s, yet again, back in rehab.

Although the singer was scheduled to present at the awards, BlindGossip is reporting that she was a no-show because she’s back getting help for her increasing drug addiction.

Although it’s widely known that Demi Lovato has entered rehab for the second time (this time for drug abuse, mainly cocaine), her PR team is still insisting that she isn’t in, nor does she need, rehab.

Their first attempt at covering up their tracks was by releasing Demi from rehab for a day and cleverly saying that, “She isn’t currently in rehab,” which technically was true at the time of their statement. But their newest attempt at keeping Demi’s newly clean image nice and squeeky, they’ve exposed themselves in a pretty big way!

Demi has been taking a break from her Twitter (aka you can’t have cell phones in rehab), but she announced that she was going to break her Twitter silence and do a Q&A sponsored by Seventeen Magazine.

The problem? Well, the answers themselves were a little stiff for what Demi usually writes, but it’s the Twitter users that the questions came from that raised our eye brows.
