James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly welcomed a baby boy to the world on Tuesday.
It’s the second child for the couple, and the decided to announce the birth the same way 2012 kids announce everything– on Twitter.
“Had my first son this morning… well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain,” the Dawson’s Creek star Tweeted. “If you could bottle up and distribute this feeling, I swear there’d be no more war. #fatherhood”
The couple already have a 17-month old daughter named Olivia which they had after marrying in August 2010.
