No “Best Actress” Oscar Nominee was safe from The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence this weekend when she hosted Saturday Night Live!

The “Silver Linings Playbook” star used her opening monologue to take jabs at her fellow Oscar nominees by trash talking them in a light-hearted and comedic way.

Referencing her infamous “I Beat Meryl” speech from the Golden Globe awards, Lawrence told the audience “I would never trash talk any of my nominees at the Golden Globes … but the Oscars are another story.”

And then she was off, taking aim at Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, Emmanuelle Riva and even little 9-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis.

The rumor mill has been having a field day since recently nominated Silver Linings Playbook co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper have both “coincidently” broke up with their significant others Zoe Saldana and Nicholas Hoult right after their nomination announcements.

It was only fair to assume that that the steamy on-screen couple would in fact be dating off-screen as well, but alas, Bradley Cooper has recently cleared the rumors.

Ok, ok– So the actual Bradley Cooper isn’t directing the highly anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games, but the guy the did hire looks a hell of a lot like an older version of him!

After nearly three months of looking for a director to the follow up from this years biggest blockbuster, Lionsgate has chosen Francis Lawrence to direct Catching Fire.

Although nothing has officially been announced yet, our insiders have let us know that the offer has been made, and  that Lawrence is set to accept the offer early next week. We wonder what the hold up is?

Lawrence, who directed Robert Pattinson‘s Water For Elephants and Will Smith‘s I Am Legend, beat out the expected runner-up– Moneyball director Bennett Miller.

Catching Fire is set to be released on November 22, 2013, so production is expected to begin within the next two months.

Considering how big The Hunger Games phenomenon is, it was only a matter of time before the CW cashed in on its success.

According to the new string of pilot titles for The CW network, a Hunger Games doppelganger television show called The Selection and it will be starring Scream 4 star Aimee Teegarden and will be added to the fall lineup.
