Of all the people we could be quoting after a night of Grammy ups and downs, who would have thought it would be country star Miranda Lambert that voices the concerns we should have all had in the first place?
Lambert, who sings about getting revenge on an abusive ex in her song Gun Powder And Lead, turned to her Twitter to bring up a question that should have been asked before the show went to air: Why the fuck was Chris Brown performing?

Although many industry insiders came to Brown’s defense saying ‘he paid his dues,’ a lot of people are still concerned with his involvement on the show. Sure the Rihanna incident was two years ago now, but what about the recent string of racial and homophobic slurs he’s been caught saying in public? Or his many anger outbursts, most notably when he threw a char out of a window at the ABC studios after being asked about Rihanna?
Twitter exploded Sunday night about Brown being on the show. Didn’t the producers think it was a good idea to axe his performance, given that the night more or less turned into a memorial for one of the most famously abused women in Hollywood history? Were there no other semi-talented lip synching dancers that could have performed who could have taken his place!
What do you think? Have you forgiven and forgotten what happened with Chris and Rihanna?
