Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She became one of the most famous women in the world through her record-breaking talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which ran for 25 seasons until it ceased production in 2011. With her own magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine and her own network, OWN, she is still very much in the public eye even though her show has ended. Winfrey has also acted in such films as The Color Purple and Beloved.

In three days, we will be awaiting the much anticipated interview of Rihanna on Oprah’s Next Chapter airing this Sunday at 9PM and one of the most juicy parts of the interview has just been released online.
Today, we finally get to see Rihanna break down when asked about her douchebag ex, Chris Brown and how the beating affected her.
Surprisingly enough, the “We Found Love” singer was more concerned for him than what he did to her!!!
Here are some excerpts from the Oprah interview:
“I lost my best friend. Everything I knew switched, switched in a night and I couldn’t control that. That’s not easy for me to understand. It’s not easy to interpret on camera, not with the world watching. It was hard for me to pay attention because it became a circus.”
“I felt like the only person they hate right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in. Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help? And who’s going to help him? Nobody’s going to say he needs help, everybody’s going to say he’s a monster, without looking at the source. I was more concerned about him.”
Last Sunday, Oprah left viewers hanging during the famous Kardashian interview by asking Kim Kardashian if Kanye West was her new fairytale romance right before the end credits.

In news that might not be taking many people by surprise, Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable network has canceled Rosie O’Donnell’s highly publicized most recent return to television, The Rosie Show. This comes after only five months on the air, with the last episode to air on the 30th of this month, which is being taped tomorrow. The show was only averaging around 230,000 viewers daily, having lost more than half of its audience from the first episode. The show has also quickly gone through multiple changes to the format and was now doing more of a 1-on-1 format with in-depth interviews with a wide range of celebrities.
