We knew this day would come!

Trying to avoid eye contact, recently divorced former couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand stole glances at one another as they sat on opposite sides of the court at the Lakers game at Staples Center in L.A. yesterday.

Even from the photos above, it’s hard not to notice the tension and although it’s discerning to see, it is also relieving to know that celebrities feel uncomfortable too when bumping into their exes!

Oh, and for those who care, The Lakers lost to the MAVERICKS and since we’re huge MAVERICKS fans at Gossip Overload, we felt like bragging about it!

Just because she’s got blue hair, doesn’t mean Katy Perry is still feeling down in the dumps about the one who got away – a certain Brand-name. Pretty Perry has been spotted romantically entangled with Baptiste Giabiconi, a douchy looking Frenchman who is reportedly the highest paid model in the world. I guess that’s cool.

The two met during Paris Fashion Week at the Chanel show and were seen together leaving Le Montana nightclub. Looks like the city of love and lights is shining down on the recent divorcée.

Frenchman Baptiste’s resume currently includes creds for being the male face of Chanel, Fendi, and Karl Lagerfeld. But he is also an aspiring singer! In an interview with The London Standard, he describes his new passion.

It looks like Russell Brand is at the end of his rope with the pap, because last night he went ape shit on one!

A ‘candid photographer’ named Timothy Jackson filed a report today claiming that Brand grabbed his phone last night and threw it through the window of an abandoned building in New Orleans.

The pap filed papers citing criminal damages over the broken iPhone and told police that Brand ‘flipped out’ and ‘wrestled the phone out of his hand’ before throwing it through the window.

Damn, son! Looks like someone was having a pretty shitty day. We say good on him! Those nosey paps should have minded their own business.

Holy shit! This guy has way better morals than we do.

Russel Brand’s lawyer has filed the final divorce papers from his marriage to Katy Perry, but despite the fact they didn’t have a pre-nup, he’s not taking any of the $20 million he’s entitled to!

Since California is an equal-share community property rights state, couples who hadn’t signed prenuptial agreements get 50% of what their spouse made during the marriage. Although Russel and Katy were married less than two years, she managed to make a cool $40.1 million between May2010 and May 2011, but Russel isn’t taking a cent of his $20 mil!

Sources say that he wants to do everything he can to make the divorce as easy as possible for Katy.

What a good guy! We couldn’t even imagine other Hollywood couples being this caring during their divorces!
