The reason why Chaz Bono is doing Degrassi

According to Chaz Bono, he would have transitioned from female to male as a teen, if  given the option. Unfortunately  he had not heard of transgender people even was when he was younger. He says he’s happy that teens today have more support available to them.

Bono says that’s one of the reasons he spent much of Thursday on the set of Degrassi: The Next Generation. He’ll be staring opposite the transgendered character Adam on the show. Shine on Chaz! We hope you keep spreading the LGBT word.
