The past two nights have been the first of the live rounds for season two of The Voice, and viewers of the show were treated to something more impressive than good vocals and cool performances– They got to see the return of Sexy Christina!

The singer has been the target of negative media attention since the season started, with many people commenting about how much the singer had let herself go. From rumors that she’d show up to set drunk to her obvious weight gain, the former sex symbol had her every move on the show criticized. But after a few weeks between the battle rounds and the live show, Christina showed that she still has what it takes to turn some heads!

After hiring a new makeup artist and spending the month of March getting back into shape, the singer showed up at the live rounds looking like the pin-up we were used to seeing.

So why the big change? Friends close to the star say it all came down to one thing: Embarrassment.

“The judges have it in their contract that they must view all aired episodes of the show,” says a friend close to Christina. “When [Christina] saw what she looked like through the pre-taped weeks, she was pretty upset about it. She cried over the battle round look and decided to do something about it before they started taping again.”

Girlfriend sure can do a lot with just a few weeks! According to the insider, Christina hooked up with Adam Levine’s trainer to tone her bod before The Voice went live.
