Consider us fully on board for this!

Since Regis Philbin has left his looooongtime seat as a co-host of Live!, Kelly Ripa has been holding down the fort herself, with guest hosts like Anderson Cooper popping by to add support. Well, with it being almost a year since Phibin left, Ripa and crew have finally narrowed down the search for a replacement and we’re hearing that the frontrunner is… Seth Meyers!

The other two in the final three are allegedly Josh Groban and Michael Strahan, but we definitely want to see Meyers take the job!

But what would happen to his SNL gig?! Apparently he would be staying on Saturday Night Live to host Weekend Update but would no longer be as involved in the rest of the program as usual… This makes sense to us! It sounds like a really good opportunity for mutually beneficial promotion for both programs. What do you think, Gossip fans? Want to see Meyers host or is there someone else you would rather see?
