The media world has been in a frenzy since director Paul Haggis confirmed that actress Nazanin Boniadi auditioned for the role of Mrs. Cruise before the A-list star settled on  chose Katie Holmes to be his prisoner wife, but rumors are going around that pre-hot mess Lindsay Lohan was actually approached by Mr. Cruise himself to be a potential candidate!

   While Tom Cruise was interviewing actresses to be his wife in Mission Impossible 3 back in 2005, it was a cover to find a real-life wife, which is why his first prospect Scarlett Johansson turned down the role. However, after Scarlett turned him down, word has it that Lilo was the second on the list!

The Huffington Post reported that a source close to Lindsay had a sit down with Tom when he wanted a wife badly:

“Lindsay met with Tom before he met Katie. At first, she was super excited to work with Tom and thought it was about a role in ‘Mission Impossible.’ It soon became clear that he wasn’t looking for an actress but something very different.”

Imagine if Lilo took on the role of Mrs. Cruise? Would her life be free of Lifetime movies? Our guess is probably not!
