The Fall of XENU!

Anybody who is anybody has already suspected that Tom Cruise auditioned Katie Holmes to be his wife through a wife-hunt through the church of Scientology, however according to reports made in Vanity Fair that director Paul Haggis confirms is true, Tom Cruise auditioned up and coming actress Nazanin Boniadi to be his wife!

I know what you are thinking: Who the hell is Nazanin Boniadi? However, many of us have seen her as she played Barney Stinson’s girlfriend on How I Met Your Mother and if you’re wondering why she wasn’t a household name before that, click after the jump to find out  what despicable things  the church of Scientology made her do after she was declared an “unsuitable” partner for Mr. Cruise.

Both Haggis (who was a former scientologist) and Vanity Fair confirms that Boniadi was offered the “ROLE” of playing Mrs. Cruise before Katie Holmes and when was declared “unsuitable,” (a.k.a. sane) Tom Cruise and Xenu banished her to Florida, made her scrub toilets and clean bathroom tiles with a toothbrush, dig ditches past midnight and sell Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics on street corners.  GASP!!

Haggis confesses:

“I was deeply disturbed by how the highest ranking members of a church could so easily justify using one of their members; how they so callously punished her and then so effectively silenced her when it was done. It wasn’t just the threats; they actually made her feel ashamed, when all she had been was human and trusting.”

She was apparently punished after revealing to a friend that she dated the A-list super-star and the church found it to be unforgivable! Thankfully, the Iranian-born actress has finally got the spotlight she so rightfully deserves.

“A terrific actress at the beginning of a very promising career, she is a dedicated human rights activist and a truly lovely and caring person. The last thing she wanted or needed is this kind of publicity, but here it is, and I am sure she will deal with it with the same grace and dignity she exudes in her daily life.”

We find this news completely disturbing and we hope Nazanin and Paul Haggis have a lot of security around them. We all know how Scientologists make people disappear when they reveal certain things to the public.
