This weekend was the funeral of Leslie Carter, who passed away last week from an assumed prescription drug overdose, but there was a pretty important person missing: Leslie’s older brother, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter.

After word leaked that Nick missed the 25-year-old’s funeral regardless of the fact that it was being held in the same state he was in, he claimed that he didn’t know about the funeral.

“I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic. There are so many emotions for me surrounding the loss of my sister. I am trying to stay healthy, positive, and focused,” said Nick before telling TMZ that his family went out of their way to keep him from knowing when and where the funeral was.

It’s hard to believe that Nick didn’t know the details about his own sisters funeral, and his family is stepping out saying that the singer’s allegations are completely false.

When asked about Nick not knowing about the funeral arrangements, his sister Ginger Carter told TMZ simply, “That’s not true.”

Everyone has their family problems, but missing your own sister’s funeral? That’s pretty low!
