Ever since we heard about the ingenious casting of Angelina Jolie as the villain of Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, in the upcoming fairy tale reboot Maleficent, we’ve been eager to see a pic of the transformation – and now we have it!

From the looks of it, they are staying quite true to the look of the Disney character with some extra gothic looks thrown in for good measure. What does Jolie herself have to say about the look? Read on after the cut!

Jolie said in a recent interview when asked how closely the look of her character would resemble the Disney version: “We’re still figuring out the look. We’re experimenting with different things. But the horns are the horns — you can’t deny them. You have to have horns.”
