You can not understand how hard it was to write a headline for a Backstreet Boys reunion announcement that wasn’t simply, “Backstreet’s Back… Alright!” But moving on.

Kevin Richardson, arguably every cougar’s favorite BSB and a guy with one of the thickest mustaches in the world, has officially re-joined the band for the first time since leaving to pursue other career paths in 2006 (or, you know, to regain a little self-respect or something), and the band is finally ready to make their debut as a band again.

Good Morning America announced this morning that the band will be a part of the show’s Summer Concert Series on August 31.

The band (we’re using that term pretty loosely here) has been in the studio working on a new album which will drop this spring, so you might as well go ahead and clear out your iPod now to make room for what we assume will be the album of the millennium (oh you know what we did there).
