Usually when people are pitted against each other for something as important as a Grammy, they harbor some bitter feelings in the name of friendly competition, but Dave Grohl, the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, has opened up about fellow Best Album nominee Adele, and what he said was a little surprising!
“I’m glad that we’re with Adele in the same category. It means we’ve done something right. I think she gives us all hope. She’s made an incredible record, and she’s an incredibly talented artist, so maybe it is true that the cream actually rises to the top.”
Who knew competitors in Hollywood still had the ability to be civil to one another?!
And this wasn’t even the first time Grohl has sang his praises about the Brit! Last month he claimed that Adele could be the reason that the music industry still has a chance at surviving:
“Adele’s record 21… It’s an amazing record and everybody’s so shocked that it’s such a phenomenon. I’m not. You know why that record’s huge? Because it’s good and it’s real. If more artists were like her, more people would be willing to buy albums.”
Looks like Adele has made a fan out of the rocker! We’re excited to see who comes out on top of their 6 head-to-head categories at the ceremony on February 12th.
