With the news of Scary Movie 5 being in production, it comes as no surprise that talks of a fifth installment in the Scream franchise is making its rounds on the web and apparently David “Dewey Riley” Arquette may have suggested the possibility of a return to Woodsboro!

Here’s what David Arquette tweeted:

“@HayleyMichelle: @davidarquette do you want there to be a Scream 5?” Yes, I love working with @wescraven and the gang.”

It should also be noted that screenwriter Kevin Williamson also tweeted to a fan about how he has the script for Scream 5 done, yet no one (*cough THE WEINSTEINS *cough) want it.

We think they should definitely move forward with a sequel. Come on, if you can release Scary Movie 5, then doing Scream 5 shouldn’t be a stretch.
