TMZ has learned that Kanye West is negotiating with producers to become an “American Idol” judge after he expressed interest to the Idol head honchos about replacing one of the remaining empty spots.

 Could Kanye join Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey for the next season of “American Idol?”  All we know is that at one of those possibilities will not happen because we have a feeling Nicki and Mariah would kill each other if they shared the same panel!
