There’s drama in the Kardashian family– And this time it doesn’t revolve around the sisters! Khloe’s husband, Lamar Odom, has gone from Sixth Man Of The Year to being FIRED from the Dallas Mavericks within a year!

This morning the defending champions of the National Basketball Association officially listed Odom as inactive for the rest of the season, which means he’ll have a nice warm seat on the bench until he gets traded, which will likely happen as soon as the season is over.

In a statement Odom released this morning regarding his departure, he had this to say:

“[I'm going to be stepping]  away from the team effective immediately. I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”

But insiders are saying that his career-low numbers aren’t to blame for being let go from the team! MediaTakeOut is reporting that after the Mavs lost to the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, Lamar Odom got into a physical altercation with future basketball-hall-of-famer Dirk Nowitzki after Nowitzki confronted Odom about his lack of trying on the court this season.

According to a wife of one of the Mavs (*cough*JasonKiddsWife*cough), Dirk and Lamar went at it before coach Rick Carlisle had to step in and break it up, which led to team owner Mark Cuban‘s decision to end Odom’s contract early.

Damn, son! First you get traded from your home team, then your new team doesn’t want you, either? Things aren’t looking so good for Lamar!
