Call the academy boys, we have a future nominee! Mark Wahlberg has announced that he’s working on a new basketball movie, and it’s going to star none other than the Biebs himself.

After crashing Seth MacFarlane’s SXSW panel this weekend, Mark Wahlberg decided to open up about his top-secret upcoming project and by the sounds of it, the script is taking longer than expected to get going.

“We’re waiting for the script. Waiting for the script. Every time I see [Bieber] or Scooter [Braun], I have to explain to them that it’s a bit of a process having the script written,” he said when asked where they were in the writing process.

The movie will be about a veteran basketball player (played by Wahlberg himself) taking a young player (Bieber) under his wing.

So why of all people did the former underwear model choose Justin?

“I’m pretty intuitive,” he said.“I see the guy and spent time with him, and you see what he does and how he does it, and then you actually have a conversation with him, and it’s there.”
