The only thing that shocks us more than 90210 still being able to bag big guest stars like Ryan Lochte is the fact that 90210 is still a show. Didn’t the CW cancel this like three seasons ago…?

Regardless of the status of the show (which is obviously still ‘on air’), the once again gold metal winner is set to guest star on the floundering show as, shockingly, Ryan Lochte.

Lochte will come across Naomi and Max while they’re vacationing at an undisclosed resort, and the staff of the show are elated that he’s joining the cast for a day.

“When we found out Ryan Lochte was going to be in town and might appear on 90210, we felt like we’d won a gold medal! Team USA are all-stars in our book, and we’re so excited he’s making an appearance on the show. We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land,” said one of the show’s executive producers

Lochte’s episode will air on October 29.
