\We mentioned before that we were looking forward to the new No Doubt CD like crazy, but now that we’re actually seeing a little sneak of the direction their art is going in, we’re getting a little skeptical!
This morning No Doubt released the cover art for their first single, Settle Down, off of their upcoming sixth album together, and first album in more than a decade (yeah you read that right– It’s been TEN YEARS since you last heard a new No Doubt song!), and we have to say: We’re a little less than impressed!
The artwork is somewhere between an acid trip and a grade 10 Photoshop project gone awry, but regardless of what it looks like, we’re still hearing whispers in the industry that the music is the same great reggae power pop that we’ve come to love from the band.
The whole album, Push and Shove, will drop July 16th, and will hopefully come with a better cover.
But cover art aside– How the hell does Gwen still look 23? Doesn’t girlfriend have two kids under her belt and a lifetime worth of travel to give her eyes some pretty hard baggage? Someone share her secrets with us!
