Nicole-Kidman-in-Stoker

It’s been some time some Nicole Kidman has dug deep for some intense roles, but it seems she’s on a bit of a roll now with two promising films coming out. We’ve told you before about The Paperboy with Zac Efron, and now the trailer has just been released for the incredibly creepy-looking film Stoker. Also starring Mia Wasikowska, the film is from the director of Old Boy, Park Chan-Wook, and features Dermot Mulroney along with Kidman. It all gets off to an incredibly creepy start from the beginning of the must-see trailer with Kidman’s character giving her thoughts on having children… The trailer shows enough to get you really intrigued but you are left wondering what it is all about. Perfect trailer, we say!

Could this be a return to the Kidman we know and love from films like To Die For? We’ve got our fingers crossed!

Check out the trailer and the film’s official synopsis after the cut and tell us what you think!

Official synopsis: “India Stoker (Mia Wasikowska) was not prepared to lose her father and best friend Richard (Dermot Mulroney) in a tragic auto accident. The solitude of her woodsy family estate, the peace of her tranquil town, and the unspoken somberness of her home life are suddenly upended by not only this mysterious accident, but by the sudden arrival of her Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), whom she never knew existed. When Charlie moves in with her and her emotionally unstable mother Evie (Nicole Kidman), India thinks the void left by her father’s death is finally being filled by his closet bloodline. Soon after his arrival, India comes to suspect that this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives. Yet instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless young woman becomes increasingly infatuated with him.”
