Taylor Swift Red Album Sales 2012

It’s a good week for Taylor Swift! The We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together singer has been on nearly every important talk show to discuss her newest creation, Red, and she’s been getting rave reviews almost across the board.

But since it’s Hollywood, reviews aren’t as important as an impressive price tag, and by the looks of it, Taylor is about to rake in the cash! Projected sales numbers are saying that Swift’s latest full-length record will sell over a million copies in her first week.

The most recent best selling album has been Mumford & Son’s Babel which sold almost 390,000 in its first week, but it’s a far cry from the million that Taylor is expected to push.

Not only will this be the first two-time million+ first week sales since Eminem did it with The Eminem Show in 2002, but she’ll be the first female artist in the history of the Nielsen SoundScan era (the company that tracks record sales) to have two albums sell more than a million copies within their first week on shelves, following the 1.047 million units she moved in the first week of her Speak Now release.

Damn girl, GET IT!
