Lea Michele Dirty Dancing

In yet another ‘Why the fuck are they doing this??’ move by Hollywood big-wigs, Lionsgate studio execs have announced that the 1987 classic Dirty Dancing is being remade for a 2013 reboot of the franchise.

When are people going to stop touching our favorite classics? Other than the fact that Swayze has a shirt on in some scenes, that movie is flawless! Perfection like that shouldn’t be touched.

We’re hearing rumors that, surprise surprise, Lea Michele is being considered for the role of Baby, but we’re not sure how we feel about that.  She’s already played out the ‘I’m the cutest loser in the world’ card… We don’t need to see her do it again in a bodysuit!

Alongside the rumors of Michele are the torturous ones that Dancing With The Star’s Derek Hough is being considered for the role of Johnny. We guess they’re trying to keep it in the family! First his sister ruined Footloose, and now he’s gunning for Dirty Dancing? Destroying movie classics, one family at a time.

What do you think about the idea of a franchise reboot? Would you watch a Swayzeless DD?

This is ridiculous .Remake indicates re do of something that needs improvement. This film needs nothing but to be shown again and again for years to come.It is old but does not seem that way,it is classic for the times of the 60s.What are they going to do change the ball room dancing to some stupid thing like hip hop. What nonsense.I am a Jewish girl that went to the Catskills
Every year in my young years and I remember those times with very happy thoughts and am not looking to improve upon anything.I just see the movie
Every year with great memories and have no desire to change that.Create some new great films that might one day withstand the test of time, that is what they can do.You cannot even find actors to come close to Swayze and Grey with
their chemistry.Do not waste your time to create something that no one will
feel will match up to the original. As we Jewish people say.Leave Well Enough
    Alone.
