It takes all of our willpower not to post 92 Tom Hanks stories a day, because we’re inappropriately obsessed with him. But today we’re caving in, because he did something this morning that’s just too good not to share.

A few hours ago during his appearance on Good Morning America, Tom sat down with host Elizabeth Vargas to talk about his new movie Cloud Atlas, in which he speaks with an accent throughout. When Vargas asked Hanks to demonstrate the accent for the home audiences, he agreed, but said it would be difficult since most of what he says in the accent is curse words.

Well by the looks of it he didn’t try too hard not to curse, because as soon as he started talking he dropped a big fat F-Bomb on live TV!

After looking shocked and spitting out a quick apology, Hanks proceeded to blame the staff of the television program for giving him a hand-held microphone. We’re not even sure that makes sense, but he’s hilarious, so who cares?
