Looks like things aren’t so happy for the cast of Modern Family at the moment!

Even though they were just awarded with a ton of Emmy nominations for the hit sitcom, all of the adults of the show are suing the studio that produces their show! Ty Burrell (who we told you recently welcomed a daughter to his family!), Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill and Eric Stonestreet have all joined forces together and are suing, saying that their contracts with the show violate California’s ’7 Year Rule’ which is in place so contracts cannot exist beyond seven years, which the show could theoretically stick around for.

Basically, the idea appears to be here that they want more money and this way they hope to have their contracts voided and then they can renegotiate for more money. The cast did NOT show up for a table read for the show as news broke about them suing 20th Century Fox.
