America’s TiVO’s were on overdrive last night two summer favorites came to an end, Big Brother and America’s Got Talent. Each show drew in huge audiences, but ultimately it was Big Brother that came out on top. So who won the shows?

Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., the vocal reincarnation of Frank Sinatra and fan favorite since his first appearance on the show, was crowned the most talented man in America by Howie Mandel and his fellow panelists. Murphy, who was formerly a car washer before he auditioned for the hit NBC program, blew everyone away with his first performance when Mandel claimed that his life from this day forward would be “forever changed.” The Bobby’s World creator was right; in just two months Murphy has gone from washing cars to a half-a-millionairre who gets his own headlining show in vegas.

In Big Brother world, it wasn’t fan favorite but house villain Rachel Reilly that walked away with the quarter-of-a-million dollar prize (am I the only one that remembers when her fiancée got caught up in thatonline dating scandal and made a very tear-filled youTube apology video??). She narrowly beat out her fellow top-two contestant Porcha, who, with her second place prize of $50, 000, only ended up with $5000 more than resident hunk Jeff. The rest of the house guests all walked away with less than $5000.

So there you have it! Two people who, in less than three months, have made more than you have all year. It’s okay to cry, we already have.
