News dropped yesterday that both Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are planning on departing from the show after this season wraps, but with a surprising steady number of viewers for the first handful of episodes this month, will NBC be opening their wallets to try and keep the vocal and production powerhouses on board?
Thanks to ratings from The Voice, NBC took the top spot among networks in the coveted 18-49-year-old demographic, despite the fact that CBS was on top of total viewers. With a 4.5 in adult ratings, the show was up 13% from last Tuesday’s 4.0 scoring.
What’s that mean for the judges, exactly? According to sources connected with the show, it means a whole lot of begging and pleading from producers. The insiders are saying that NBC is so pleased with the current rating increase that they’ve proposed that the starts re-open their contract negotiations, promising more money and better working hours if they’ll stay on for season 4.
BUT, things aren’t all roses for all the judges: Since Adam and Blake have already signed their contracts for season four, Christina and Cee Lo could be left with a major pay increase while their salary stays the same.
So what do you think– Will Christina and Cee Lo be back for four?
